Education Grants
A single grant of £325 per academic year (August 2025 to July 2026) is available to support education costs, not funded by statutory provision, of children and young people aged 21 and under who are permanent residents of the Strathnairn Community Council area. Those undertaking a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) up to the upper age limit of 25 is allowed. However, this is restricted to a single bachelor’s degree and not transferred between degrees. Applications to cover a second bachelor’s degree will not be accepted.
The grant is available to children and young people in secondary education, further education, higher education and those undertaking apprenticeships.
Strathnairn Community Benefit Fund make awards to the Parent Councils of Farr and Daviot Primary Schools to assist with non-statutory education costs. Therefore, in order to ensure all primary pupils in Strathnairn can benefit, P1-P7 pupils not attending Farr or Daviot schools are eligible to apply direct to the Fund for an Education Grant.
If you are awarded an Education Grant, we will ask you to provide details of what educational costs the Grant has been spent on. Awards for future academic years will be dependent on supply of this information.

Please allow 6 to 8 weeks for your award to be processed. Deadline for receipt of applications is 30 June 2026.
