Community Groups

Community group grants are available to any organization which consists of a reasonable majority of Strathnairn residents, has open access to all of the target population for that group and has an identifiable relevance to the wider Strathnairn community.

The group must be non-religious and non-political and if a charitable organisation, then need to be established and located within Strathnairn and carry out charitable activity solely for the residents of Strathnairn.  Fundraising events in support of non-eligible charitable organisations would not qualify as being a Community Group.

A General Grant is the vehicle by which Community Groups and community projects are funded. 

The Board generally meets the last Thursday of each month (with the exception of July & December). Application deadlines are set two weeks before the scheduled board meetings. This allows the application to be checked prior to the meeting. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
